Statistics: Russia’s inflation remains at 0.2% Dec 11–Mon
MOSCOW, Dec 19 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation remained flat at 0.2% from December 11 through Monday for a third week in a row, and reached 3.9% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for eggs rose by 4.4%, for millet by 1.3%, for poultry and sausages by 0.6%, for cheeses, flour, and bread by 0.5%, for semi-cooked sausage, sugar, and rye bread by 0.4%, and for canned meat, butter, sour cream, curd, pasta, and salt by 0.3%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables increased 2.6% on average, with cucumbers becoming 8.5% more expensive, tomato prices rising 5.5%, and prices for cabbage growing 3.6%.
Gasoline prices fell 0.1% and diesel fuel prices remained almost flat.
